British Airways has now added ‘Lifetime Tier Points’ to Executive Club statements – if you are a member then you can log in and see how many tier points you accumulated since you joined.

These points don’t currently get you anything unless you have 35,000 – then you are Gold for life. But 35,000 is a lot of Tier points and most people with that number are probably Gold or even, premier, anyway.

But it’s a nice start and maybe they’ll continue by offering Bronze for life or Silver for life. The BA site does contain this sentence:

It also gives every Member of the Club the chance to accumulate enough Lifetime Tier Points to achieve the new rewards we’ll be introducing in the future – starting with the launch of Gold membership for life.

So have a look and see how many points you have. Sadly mine says 1,695.
