Thanks to Keri over at Heels First Travel, I think I’ve discovered one of the most useless travel accessory ever – a series of three in-flight cocktail kits, each costing $24 and the alcohol isn’t included!
There are three ‘Carry On Cocktail’ kits available:
- Old Fashioned
- Gin & Tonic
- Moscow Mule
To give you an idea of the contents, the Moscow Mule comprises:
- Carry On Tin – 3.125 in.
x 4.25 in. (H) x 1 in. (D)
- Recipe Card
- Bar Spoon
- 1/2 oz. Jigger
- Ginger Syrup
- Linen Coaster
A Moscow Mule requires vodka, ginger beer and a slice of lime. It is also traditional to serve this cocktail in a copper mug. None of these items are included in the kit.
These kits even make the items in the Skymall catalog look useful! The only good thing I can say is that the packaging design is pretty good:
And their website isn’t bad either. Such as shame that all that effort went into something so useless.
As they say on the Dragon’s Den TV show “I’m Out!”.
