I found the oddly-named Sun Moon Small 5 Corners restaurant online. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside on a Saturday evening in October. The food, wine and service were all good.

We walked about 15 minutes from the Sofia Hilton and found Sun Moon Small 5 Corners at the junction of five small streets. It was warm enough to sit outside which was lucky as it wasn’t clear if any tables were available inside.

The waiter was friendly and spoke English. We ordered red wine by the glass and two veggie curries; one Thai and one Indian. Both were delicious, although mine tasted more Indian than Thai – and yes I’m pretty sure I had the Thai.

The red wine was very good. Total BGN 42 for the food and four glasses of wine.

There were more tables downstairs, so there is room once the weather turns cooler.

Sun Moon Small 5 Corners is a cosy friendly place and I’d definitely return.

Postscript
As we walked down the dark narrow street toward
Sun Moon Small 5 Corners, there were two large dogs ahead of us – they looked about 70% Alsatian and rest unknown. I thought their owner was a woman who was closer to them than us. As it was, they were just running lose in the city. The dogs weren’t aggressive, nor did they try and beg any food from the diners – I guess someone feeds them. They slept a few metres down the street. One customer bravely petted them.
Just before we left, the dogs decided to move on somewhere else – nobody seemed to find it unusual that there were dogs running lose.
