San Francisco is famous for Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, steep hills, cable cars, Victorian houses, Chinatown and year-round fog. It’s also a great starting point for a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway 1/101.
We stayed at the (disappointing) Hilton Financial District in Chinatown, so expect to see plenty of photos from that area.
Every day, there would be exercise to music just across the street from the hotel.
Walking around Chinatown feels safe and plenty of photo opportunities.
Of course you have to ride a cable car.
Visit Alcatraz Island.
And visit Muir Woods.
We ate in the following restaurants:
E’ Tutto Qua Italian Restaurant
Our next stop after San Francisco was Embassy Suites, Monterey.
