We saw a lot of cats in Malta. The cats all looked happy and well fed, almost like pets and not the scrawny feral cats you see in other countries. It turns out that the Maltese are pretty kind to cats.

Walking around St. Julians, not far from the Hilton Malta, we found a cat village. Note the tigers and bears aren’t real!

There were small homes for each cat and food left out. I found the cat village has a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Cat-Village-Malta-182744521786157/  They don’t seem to have a fundraising page, although you can make a donation in the village box. My search also returned numerous results about cats in Malta. Turns out that ‘stray’ cats are not looked after by just one person, but by the whole community – vets also offer free neutering services. Here are some links:
