Dish calls itself a ‘fine burger bistro’ and that’s pretty accurate because they serve good burgers. There original, smaller restaurant is still on Římská street, but they’ve also taken the space left by Maso je maso and Summa cum laude
Why the blue dot? It’s everywhere and is the Dish ‘logo’. On the black & white wall photos, the blue dot isn’t a sticker, it’s part of the photo. I personally would have saved on the printing costs and stuck on a blue sticker later!
The place is always busy. This was a Sunday evening and it was full by the time we left.
This was Thursday 16th July at 7.30pm.
The open kitchen is still there, but behind glass so there aren’t any cooking smells.
A good Portuguese Fitapreta Tinto is 104 Kč per 0.15dl glass. A jug of water is 15 Kč and that’s fine with me.
Food from both our visits:
Vintage – 320g Beef with Red Cheddar, Smoked Bacon, Remoulade, Classic Yellow Mustard, Salad and Pickles (298 Kč).
Smoky Lamb – 160g Smoked Slow Roasted Lamb with Baby Spinach and Smoked Peppers Mayonnaise (225 Kč). Always seems to arrive on an ornate China plate. Delicious lamb.
A portion of Patatas Bravas with Gochuang Mayo and Aioli (89 Kč). Very good.
A portion of fries (72 Kč). Pretty poor fries and I’d always order the Patatas Bravas in future.
What more can I say? It’s a good burger restaurant – but I wouldn’t make a special trip. Prague is full of burger restaurants and there a few nearby that must be nervous now Dish has arrived. You’ll need to book.
