‘On a Day Under the Earth’ is running for the fourth year in Prague 7th to 15th March 2020. On these dates, numerous hidden underground locations will be open to visitors for free.
27th February 2020 update: The booking system opened (19.00 Wednesday, February 26th 2020 most tickets were shown as gone. We tried for Žižkov Tunnel as that showed some tickets available, but after selecting two people and book, the message said sold out. I have to say that I’m disappointed with how ticket allocation was run – it looks to me as if tickets were somehow allocated before the advertised opening of the box office. I’ll be writing to the organisers and let you know their response.
There are numerous underground locations available and you read about these on the Na Den Pod Zem website (in Czech so you may need Google translate) https://nadenpodzem.cz/.
You can read about our previous visits to some of the locations by choosing from the list below:
- A former nuclear shelter (Bunkr Parukářka) in Parukářka Park, Žižkov
- A storm sewer under Stromovka
- Crypt of the Church of Our Lady of Victory and St. Antonín Paduánský
- Crypt of the Church of St. Cyril and Methodius
