Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips ICON Park, Orlando, Florida is scheduled to open in August 2021. This is a fast casual dining venue, no reservations required. Here’s what we know so far.

The restaurant locaton is within a relatively new attraction, shopping and dining area called ICON Park. This is centred around a 400 feet-high ferris wheel this used to be known as the Orlando Eye and is now ‘The Wheel at ICON Park’. The park is situated along the busy International Drive area and includes Madame Tussauds and the Sea Life Aquarium, together with shopping and dining.

Some concept drawings.

The food looks good. Obviously this an Americanised version of the traditional British dish.

Here’s a picture from the opening of Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips Las Vegas  in 2016.

We’re guessing the menu and prices will be similar to the Las Vegas location.

US$16.99 for Fish & Chips, two sauces and a drink. The pricing compares well with the Five Guys burger chain. I wonder if Americans will realise that ‘Chips’ means ‘Fries’ and not potato chips (called crisps in England).

The ‘Dirty Chips’ come in three variants:

  • Truffle, parmesan and chives
  • Chipotle, jalapeño and crisp chorizo
  • Bacon, cheddar cheese, green onions and sour cream

The shakes look like you’d need a spoon to eat them.

The restaurant is hiring 30 full-time and part-time positions. You can apply here jobs@grna.com.
