The Hilton Garden Inn at Hatton Cross is only one stop by Underground to Heathrow Airport. It’s a five-minute walk to the station. Prices are usually less than the Garden Inn at Terminal 2.
The walk along the Eastern Perimeter Road is a little bleak and may feel uncomfortable when alone at night. You may also need an umbrella. If this is an issue, opt for the Garden Inn at T2, the Aerotel at T3 or the Sofitel at T5.

It was a bright day with mild autumn weather when we arrived.
The lobby was large and modern.
We were both upgraded to comfortable runway-view rooms (Gold and Diamond) and given two bottles of water each.
The view from the room is also where you need to walk to arrive at the Underground station.
I always prefer a walk-in shower rather than a bath with shower fixing.
We visited the restaurant (Jack’s) for dinner.
Chicken and Mushroom Pie £15.95
Mixed grill £21.95
Neither meal was anything special, but both were edible.
The Hilton Garden Inn at Hatton Cross is a good option when flying from London Heathrow – I can’t think of any other reason to stay there. If price isn’t an issue and/or you don’t want to walk to the station, choose one of the hotels with direct access to a terminal: Garden Inn at T2, the Aerotel at T3 or the Sofitel at T5.
