Just a couple of metro stops from the centre, Martin’s Bistro is a cosy place in the Vinohrady area of Prague. Our first visit was a delight and we’re looking forward to return and try more dishes.
The entrance is on the corner of Velehradská and Přemyslovská streets.
Inside there is a bar and around ten tables.
Our waitress was really friendly and quickly brought us a 0.1l glass of French Malbec (70 Kč), a homemade lemonade (55 Kč) and a bottle of tap water (free). I’d prefer it if they served 0.15l glasses of red wine.
The menu is tiny. The website shows it as a ‘Lunch’ menu, but it’s really an all-day menu. We both chose the Lamb Kefta Roll – minced lamb, puff pastry, chilli, yogurt, salad (240 Kč). Wow! What a delicious dish.
We shared a Key Lime Pie (80 Kč). Absolutely perfect version of this Florida dish.
The only dinner menu item is a Beef Wellington for two people (1200 Kč) and this has to be ordered one day in advance. It’s hard to find a good Beef Wellington in Prague and we can’t wait to try this one.
I’d definitely recommend a visit to Martin’s Bistro.
