Emporium Bistro sits within The Julius Hotel in the centre of Prague. Only open for a year, the entire hotel is beautiful and the bistro is a perfect place for a business lunch.

The Julius is housed in a lovely art deco building just a few steps away from The Arcade of Czech Design. Many of the 168 rooms have fully-equipped kitchens as part of Julius Meinl Living concept.

To find the Emporium Bistro, you need to enter the hotel, greet the receptionists with a polite dobrý den, walk straight ahead and turn left. There are larger tables by the bar, but our favourite area is a large round room with smaller tables, widely spaced around the edge.

The business lunch menu is served 12 noon to 3pm and is good value at 290 Kč for two courses such as; smoked salmon and avocado followed by beef rib, mashed potatoes, green beans and bacon. A 0.125l glass of Primitivo is a little pricey at 155 Kč. A 1l carafe of water is 75 Kč.

The space is very peaceful and never seems busy. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean, have proper towels and, of course, Julius Meinl toiletries.

We enjoyed our two lunches at the Emporium Bistro and recommend a visit.
