It’s hard to find a good florist. I don’t want to buy flowers only to find them dead after a few days. You may remember my poor experience with Belles Fleurs who not only sold me flowers that died a few days later, they also refused to refund me.
Luckily I found a new shop called ‘Cool Flowers; in Vinohrady that has friendly staff and great flowers that last.
The Czech sign reads: We are not a classical flower shop.
The shop is busy, there must have been seven girls working when I visited. At least one spoke English. There are a couple of easy chairs and it looks like you could sit and have a coffee while waiting. I went for white roses at 65 Kč per rose.
They gave me a few sachets of flower food and recommended I cut the stems, refresh the water and add flower food. I repeated that twice and I’m happy to say that the roses lasted way more than a week – one rose managed to survive for two weeks.
It looks like they deliver, although their website doesn’t specify how far they’ll go within Prague. For those living nearby, I’d recommend a visit.
